DESCRIPTION:
French, small timepiece skeleton with engraved plates, porcelain dial and moon hands, silk thread suspension c1855
CONDITION:
this small clock originally had an alarm in the base which is now absent; old pendulum is a replacement. Porcelain dial is very good with only small hairlines. Has been recently cleaned, plates lacquered and is running robustly. Although originally designed for the Great Exhibition of 1851, production likely continued for another 20 years. Ht 8.5"
